When the pilgrim on the Camino de Santiago - coming from the French side of the Pyrenees from 'Saint-Jean Pied de Port' - has crossed the border into Spain up in the mountains and starts to descend, is the church / chapel of Ibaneta with the big cross next to it the first visible intermediate destination, before a little later the stage destination for the day is reached with the mighty monastery complex of Roncesvalles.
