Four mills were once operated in the shady Aubach valley between Döhlen and Geringswalde. In the Kolkau valley between Biesern and Mittweida there are also five silent witnesses of former mills that once made use of the Erlbach. The Zöllnitzer mill was still in operation until 1988. Some of the mill remains can be explored on a mill tour.
