Hiking

Cattersty Sands is a long, sand and shingle beach with superb views. Affording a good level of shelter, the beach is a tranquil place to be all year round. The beach is intersected by a rocky pier which was built in 1886 for loading steamboats which transported ore to Middlesbrough.
