A legend tells of the "Windorf Bear Catch". One day a young man is said to have spread the rumor in the market that a gruesome beast was sitting on a tree near Hacklstorf. He thought he saw a bear. Armed with flails and scythes, the market dwellers set out to kill the beast. As they got closer, however, they noticed that the bear was just a Capuchin monk who was praying his breviary and nibbling cherries. Ashamed, the Windorf "bear catchers" went home and have had to endure the ridicule of the neighborhood. [3]On the occasion of the 25-year partnership between Windorf and the municipality of Pirka in the Austrian state of Styria, a stone sculpture was inaugurated there in 2010 for “Windorf Bear Catching”. The southern part of the municipality, which existed until the end of 2014, also bears the name Windorf.Q: de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windorf#Sage
