It is a steep sloping slope of southwestern orientation above the left bank of the river Luba, 1.5 km south of the village Luba. There are many isolated rock formations, of which the morphologically most interesting is the legendary Krkatá bába, after which the locality got its name. Due to its bizarre rock formations, this area is widely frequented. The most remarkable rock formation is linked to the virgin wedding. The present area of the protected area is 9.01 hectares, and was declared a natural monument in 1997. Over the valley near the rocks was the old Reich (Hitler) highway, which was to be bordered by two massive bridges. Concrete bridges of the bridges are still visible on the upper edge of the valley.
