The view of the 1000-year-old Pottenstein Castle is very impressive when you drive from the south in the valley from the Weiherbach towards the large rock.

From the castle in this very beautiful location you have a wonderful view of the town and the landscape from the park-like garden of the upper castle.

The castle is now a privately run and inhabited museum in which prehistoric and early historical objects, a weapons collection, books, autographs and three exhibition rooms arranged as an ensemble can be seen. Sources: burgpottenstein.de and Wikipedia
