Best Road Cycling Rides to Railroad bridge (1876)- Miltenberg 🚴‍

Tips

  • Railway Bridge (1876) - Miltenberg 🚴‍Miltenberg was initially connected to the railway network by the Bavarian State Railways via a main line from Aschaffenburg. This line opened on November 12, 1876. A bridge was built over the Main River and a terminal station was built on the western edge of Miltenberg's old town, which was later renamed "Miltenberg Hauptbahnhof." This station also served as the starting point for the line to Seckach via Amorbach (Madonnenlandbahn). The bridge has a half-parabolic girder over the main opening, to which parallel truss girders are connected.• Name: Miltenberg Railway Bridge
    • Type: Trussed steel arch bridge
    • Total length: 195 m
    • Width: 60 m
    • Clearance for ships: not specified
    • Construction date: 1876
    • Use: Railway bridge
NOT accessible to pedestrians or cyclists 🚴‍♂️
But the historic bridge is a beautiful sight as you cycle past on the Main Cycle Path
