Years ago I rode or ran on the MTB from Weesen via Quinten to Walenstadt. The way is very long and arduous. It took about 6 hours and was very exhausted in Walenstadt, at the kiosk by the lake. I really didn't know what I was getting into on this tour! For a long time it goes comfortably high above the lake towards Quinten and that is all feasible and also beautiful. After a drink at the lake it gets really hard, it goes up and down and that is not an exaggeration, it then goes steeply uphill with a lot of curves. Not really passable with a normal MTB, there is a lot of pounding! With an E-MTB, however, you could dare. But I avoid this route like the devil's holy water;) It takes great physical condition, I can say that. When you finally get to the top, you can take a nice path down towards Walenstadt.
