Cycling

It was built in 1910/11 as the 3rd water tower in Wilhelmshaven and is still part of the Wilhelmshaven water supply today. The tower is 42 m high and contains two water tanks with a capacity of 1200 or 800 m³ of water. The lower part of the water tower under the water tanks is used from time to time for exhibitions. In 2007, the water tanks were replaced in a multi-month complex action and the tower renovated.

The Wilhelmshaven Water Tower is a 42-meter-tall landmark of Wilhelmshaven in Lower Saxony, Germany. The brick tower, whose circular floor plan transitions into a dodecagon in the upper half, was built between 1910 and 1911 as Wilhelmshaven's third water tower and remains an important part of the city's water supply. It was originally constructed with a suspended drinking water storage element consisting of two alloy steel chambers. Both chambers could hold between 800 and 1200 cubic meters of water.
