Tips
The top station of the Diana funicular (Vrchní zastávka lanovky Diana) is at an altitude of 556 meters. The line was opened on August 5, 1908. It starts at the Old Meadow (Stará louka) station near the Grand Hotel Pupp at 389 meters and leads to the Friendship Heights, where the Diana observation tower is located. It overcomes the 167 meter difference in altitude over a distance of 437 meters. The maximum gradient is 43.23 percent, the average is 39.81 percent. It runs every 15 minutes and takes four minutes to complete a journey. The uphill and downhill carriages meet at the middle station. The line has been renovated three times, most recently between 1984 and 1988.
