The construction of Pragelstrasse has no connection with Bödmeren. It was built for military reasons as a connection from the Glarus area in the basin Schwyz of the genius units of the then Reduit Brigade 24, whose commander was from 1967 to 1972 Claus Cramer of Zurich. He was initiator and responsible for the construction of the road over the Pragelpass (1550 m). The Muotathaler thanked Claus Cramer in 1972 with honorary citizenship.
