Former manor, originally tower-like moated castle, built around 1300. Elaborately renovated, now with exclusive rental apartments
August 11, 2019
The core of the manor house was once a tower-like moated castle with a moat. The wooden construction of the upper floor dates back to 1475. The Kürbitz manor was first mentioned in documents in 1489 with Jobst von Feilitzsch. He made himself the sole lord of the manor. From the beginning until 1945, the manor was owned by the noble family.
On November 11, 1987, the entire roof structure burned down. It was only temporarily covered until the roof structure was rebuilt in 2007 with the help of the support association and the Free State of Saxony.
