Hiking Highlight
From the Hohen Kleef you look directly down into the cave village of Rübeland. The Harzer-Hexen-Stieg leads you past this place just a few meters. Take the chance and get a stamp from the Harz hiking pin. If you are on the climb, you will have another view of the Brocken and the Wurmberg. There are hardly any free parking spaces in Rübeland.

This beautiful roofed house invites you to take a longer rest due to its impressive view! Rübeland by train appears like a miniature wonderland, no matter what time of year.
Also a good view of the "Schornsteinberg" vantage point opposite and, if the view is good, also to the Brocken!
The little house can also be seen well below from the village.

The Hohe Kleef consists mainly of Devonian reef limestone. It is located a few meters away from the Harz Hexenstieges and can be climbed via a hiking trail. A viewing pavilion was built on it at the beginning of the 20th century. From there you have a comprehensive view of Rübeland, the Bode and the surrounding Harz Mountains up to the Wurmberg and the Brocken.
