From the Hoher Kleef you look straight down into the cave town of Rübeland. The Harzer-Hexen-Stieg takes you just a few meters past this place. Take the chance and get a stamp from the Harzer Wanderstift. If you are on the climb, you will have another view of the Brocken and the Wurmberg. There are hardly any free parking facilities in Rübeland.

Hiking

The Hohe Kleef consists mainly of Devonian reef limestone. It is located a few meters away from the Harz Hexenstieges and can be climbed via a hiking trail. A viewing pavilion was built on it at the beginning of the 20th century. From there you have a comprehensive view of Rübeland, the Bode and the surrounding Harz Mountains up to the Wurmberg and the Brocken.
