Town Hall of Usedom

Directly next to the church in the city of Usedom has been the town hall since ancient times, probably a tradition in some cities in the Baltic Sea region. Before the council meeting, people went to church or even held the meeting in church.

So many things in the city of Usedom could be settled amicably between the town hall and the church. For larger construction projects on the church, the service even took place in the town hall, as was the case in 1891-93. The town hall, together with the church and earlier also with the school, forms the central development of the Usedom market. In its current form, it was built around 1815 and later changed slightly, the last time it was externally refurbished around 2000.
