The entire development of the Roßplatz was destroyed by a bomb attack on December 4th, 1944.
Today's ring development was laid out in 1955 in the form of the socialist classicism architecture that was decisive at the time. The western Roßplatz was not built on again. Except for the cellars, the ruins were removed (see also photo).

Hiking
The Rossplatz open space was created between 1953 and 1955 in connection with the development of the ring. It is considered exemplary of the architecture and building art of the still young GDR.
