The Christopher fountain is a gift from the honorary citizens Grohe couple to the town of Hemer. The fittings manufacturer Friedrich Grohe commissioned the sculptor Ernst Fuchs to design his garden with a fountain under the motto "Grohe has the water under control." The fountain was placed in October 1977 on Hademareplatz between the indoor swimming pool and the town hall. As part of an art exhibition by the artist Ernst Fuchs, the restored Christopher fountain was moved on September 27, 2002 and now adorns Groheplatz.
