The Great Birkensee with its wooded banks is beautiful. There are lawns between the trees where you can relax comfortably. Nothing stands in the way of jumping into the water to cool off and take a swim. It is safe to swim in the Birkensee again because there is no longer any risk of bathing due to stress. However, swallowing water while swimming and bathing should be avoided. You can find current information here: landkreis.nuernberger-land.de/index.php?id=1993.
