Alp Valmala is located above the Val Tasna at 1,973 m above sea level.
Alp Valmala is located on the border of the municipalities of Ftan and Ardez, directly on the Tasna mountain stream. It is operated cooperatively by both communities. Cheese is also made at Alp Valmala. You can usually see what's being made on the hut's windowsill: sales are made on a trust basis.
