You can actually go left along the train towards Messel station. The path looks pretty neat at the beginning. Earlier, shortly before the street in Messel, there was a 70m long stretch of road that had totally deteriorated: mud, building rubble, thorny scrub, the path was getting narrower ..., the Komoot map shows that (zooming).
However, since the railway has renovated its route in this area, the path has been passable again. Slightly bumpy, puddles, but otherwise ok.
