... also "Kaiser Wilhelm Tower". Highly recommended as it offers a great panoramic view.
Who likes to count steps: The tower has 156-157 depending on the faith.
The large parking lots at Kaltenbronn are noticeable - if you are often relatively alone on the surrounding (long) hiking trails, it is quickly quite crowded on public holidays or weekends.

In good weather you can see very far in every direction. The tower is definitely worth a visit. For the fear of heights, one can also mention that it does not wobble even in wind, you can see nowhere through the ground and the railing is very massive at the top.

The tower stands at a height of over 980 meters above sea level. Open: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. It is worth going up the approximately 160 steps. This brings you to over 1000 meters above sea level. Very good distant view; weather permitting, the Vosges or even the Alps can be spotted. Recommendation: take binoculars with you.

Officially, the tower is only open during the day. But nobody comes to connect and so you can watch the stars at night. During the day you can see as far as France. The Rhine is easy to see, but the Badener Höhe is also a little closer and the Hornisgrinde is clearly visible. Both places where you will pass later on the Westweg ...
