Teufelskanzel

The Teufelskanzel is a rocky outcrop south of the Laacher See with a fabulous view to the south over Kruft and surroundings. Directly south is a very idyllic small forest lake. To the north towards Laacher See the view is unfortunately blocked. Never mind, with this otherwise great view!

A nice view with a break in the direction of Kruft and Koblenz. You can clearly see the Rhine flowing in the north of Koblenz. The larger of the two lakes at the foot of the pulpit is the Krufter Waldsee (eifel.info/a-krufter-waldsee). Here you can swim, but not on Sundays.

Especially worth seeing during the rape blossom at the end of April / beginning of May ...

If you start at the parking lot of the Waldsee, it is worth to circle it halfway around and then take the path to the Teufelskanzel in a sharp right turn. The path is steep but doable. Watching, walking slowly, sometimes taking a break and thinking about the next steps can be helpful as well as sturdy shoes. The view from the Teufelskanzel is terrific, just wonderful, it's worth it

Anyone who has made the strenuous way up will be rewarded with a great view.

Fantastic view, pure nature

If you walk down the path to the parking lot at the Waldsee in the far-away serpentines, you will find some of these overviews. The view to Hunsrück, Taunus and Westerwald is incredible

the view into the distance and that you can see the entire forest lake is worth the steep climb

In autumn, the valley is sometimes hidden in fog, especially when the weather is inversion.

From here you have a great view of the small forest lake and the Eifel
