At this point, a small bridge crosses the Alb. The 40 km long river has two sources: the source of the Menzenschwander Alb is on the southern slope of the Feldberg, the source of the Bernauer Alb on the southern slope of the Herzogenhorn. Shortly before St. Blasien, the two rivers flow together and then flow into the Rhine at Albbruck.
