One of the most traditional cultural initiatives on the Upper Rhine is the Laufenburger Bridge, which has existed since 1953 and was co-founded by the Swiss sculptor Erwin Rehmann. Since 2008, the bridge has been integrated into the cross-border cultural committee of both Laufenburg and sees itself as a platform for its own events as well as for events organized by other cultural workers.
