Harajuku Station, the namesake of a fictional district. Harajuku is called the area around the station and is mainly associated with the Takeshita-dōri.The small train station and the wooden station building stands out clearly from its valuable location at the Meiji Shrine, Yoyogi Park and the Takeshita-dōri with accordingly high passenger volumes from the other stations in Tokyo. The station will be rebuilt as part of the Olympic Games 2020 and currently it is not clear whether the station building will stop.
