The title makes it clear what the sculpture refers to. It is covered all over with letters and (English) words and wraps around a tree with its legs. The light was unfortunately very sharp on the day of the recording and the light-dark contrast is therefore very large.

the Kaspar who wraps around the tree was deliberately placed in this place. It is directly between the house and the Court of Appeals where he worked as a clerk. The sculpture was donated by Jaume Plensa on the occasion of the 1000th anniversary of the Archdiocese of Bamberg

The bronze sculpture "Kaspar's Tree", designed by the Catalan artist Jaume Plensa, was erected on the occasion of the 1000th anniversary of the Archdiocese of Bamberg in 2007. It is supposed to represent the seated Kaspar Hauser, who holds a maple with his arms.
