Also up the track can drive well - the slope is smooth and without mountain jersey to deal with.

A railway track with a lot of nature and industrial history.

In addition to the northern railway line Wuppertal offers the Sambatrasse another great Radreisetrasse. Clear recommendation

Recommendation: cycle down from Cronenberg, then you can really enjoy it.

The drinking water station is hygienic and a great thing! My thanks to the company that dealt with it.

The VT 95 rail bus, which actually ran in Cronenberg years ago, is in the immediate vicinity of the Sambatrasse.

A perfectly developed railway line that today invites you to cycle.

The Samba Pass is a 10 km long cycle and footpath on a railway track in the south Wuppertal. The route leads in serpentines up the steep slopes of the Wupper high in the higher southern districts of the city and overcomes approximately 200 meters. Particularly interesting is the part that leads directly through the Wuppertal Zoo. Here you can even see one or the other animal.

I had imagined a little more about cycling through a zoo, but the Samba terrace itself was great for cycling. From Wuppertal it slowly increases by 1-4%.

The ascent to Cronenberg is relatively easy on the Samba path. On a wooded path beautiful views of the valleys and the zoo.

I don't understand why Komoot can't show whether a bike path is made of gravel or asphalt.
It would make sense for racing cyclists in particular.

A beautifully drivable and densely overgrown route but unfortunately with little view of the beautiful nature 😔
