The cycle tour on the Schambach Valley Railway Cycle Path follows the former railway line between Ingolstadt-North and Riedenburg, which opened in 1904 and was finally closed to passenger traffic in 1972. The 45-kilometer-long cycle path begins at Ingolstadt Central Station and, after passing through Ingolstadt, continues along the former railway line of the Schambach Valley Railway.
