Road cycling
The cycle tour on the Schambachtalbahn cycle path runs along the former railway line between Ingolstadt-Nord and Riedenburg, which was opened in 1904 and finally closed for passenger traffic in 1972. The 45-kilometer cycle path begins at Ingolstadt's main train station and, after crossing Ingolstadt, runs on the former railway line of the Schambach Valley Railway.
