From here there is a really nice glacier view. At almost five square kilometers, the Krimmler Kees is the second largest glacier in the Salzburg region. Its ice extends over an altitude of 2,500 to 3,300 meters and is the headwaters of the Krimmler Ache. Unfortunately, like all Alpine glaciers, the Krimmler Kees is suffering from climate change and is continuously losing substance.
