The Essen-Rostocker Hütte is located at an altitude of 2,208 meters and is a good starting point for further tours in the Hohe Tauern. In the hut you can spend the night in the mattress dormitory as well as in multi-bed and double rooms. In the winter season it is open from the beginning of March to the beginning of May and in the summer from the end of June to the beginning of October.
