Caspano is a true jewel, thanks to its rich history which is still preserved through the imposing Parravicini palace and the splendid Church of S. Bartolomeo. From its portico, which faces south, supported by an imposing wall, you can enjoy a truly excellent panorama, especially over the Val Tartano and Val Gerola.

Caspano (875 m., 225 inhabitants) is perhaps the most precious pearl in the territory of Civo. Giovanni Guler von Weineck, in the work "Rhaetia" (Zurich, 1616), writes: "The large and renowned village of Caspano ... located as it is halfway between Dazio and the upper part of the mountain, enjoys a wide view, so towards the lower Valtellina as towards the middle Valtellina; in front he has before his eyes the cheerful plain of Dazio. Entering the village from the western side, we are greeted by the impressive Palazzo dei Parravicini. Then, in short, we are in the square, where the archpriest church of St. Bartholomew is splendidly displayed, which broke away from the parish church of Ardenno in the first half of the fourteenth century and became a provostial church and collegiate church in 1664. From its arcade, which looks to the south, supported by an imposing wall, you can enjoy a truly excellent panorama, especially over the Val Tartano and the Val Gerola.
