The trail winds around half of Angle Tarn with splendid views from many different perspectives. I recommend walking this on a clear day as then the color of the water is a deep blue, out of this world, and the wind adds sparkling highlights to it.

A visit to Angle Tarn in the Autumn (October) guarantees an audio show from the resident stags! You can hear their guttural moans for miles around during the rut.
