The Rettenbachalm is with the high pastures Hinteralm and Karalm (about 400 ha) the largest alpine area in Upper Austria. It is used from mid-May to late July and one month in the fall as Niederalm.
The magnificent landscape is a popular destination for hikers and mountain bikers in summer.
In winter, the Rettenbach Alm is the starting point for tourers and snowshoe hikers. An approximately 11 km long cross-country ski trail makes the heart of the fans of this sport beat faster.
The Rettenbachalm is open summer and winter and offers excellent cuisine!

Mountaineering

A beautiful alpine pasture with lots of opportunities for hikers, cyclists, mountaineers etc.! We particularly enjoyed the stop at the rustic, cozy Gasthof Rettenbachalm. Outside it sits very comfortably around the beautiful hut and it doesn't get boring here. We got a tip from the innkeeper to go to the Gamskogel because we will have a nice view there.
