This park is public and accessible at any time. At present a large selection of dahlias are blooming.

The part of the herb garden in the Apothekerstiel is a pretty idea but unfortunately very overgrown by "wild herbs".

In the course of the Landesgartenschau (LGS) the Eckermann-Park was created in 2006 by an architectural competition under the motto "www" - water, meadows and ramparts. Noise protection walls, Mediterranean terraces and landscaped meadows characterize the image of the park. Later, additional sports facilities were added, such as an outdoor fitness course, senior sports equipment or a volleyball court.

By Hansestrasse the park is separated into a northern and southern part. The two parts are connected by a barrier-free bridge over Hansestrasse.
A beautifully landscaped and diverse park.
