Historical records name a first church in 1272 in Emmeringen. Since the pastorate was probably not sufficient for the livelihood of the pastor, since the 17th century, the parish service of Oschersleben worried. Around 1882, the village church was already very dilapidated and it was thought to sell the church and move the service to the school. In 1886, however, the blueprint for the new Gothouse was completed and approved. 1887 was the consecration of the new church. The only remnant of the old church is the baptismal font dating back to 1676. This can still be found today in the sanctuary of the small church. Since 1962 the Emmeringer and the Oschersleber St. Nicolaigemeinde are united. The Emmering church is recognized as an official monument. Since 2010, the association "Emmeringer church and art eV" owner of the chapel in the neo-Gothic red brick building. The association offers in the church cultural offers such as readings and exhibitions and is committed to the rehabilitation and preservation of the chapel.Source:

Impressive ensemble in Emmeringen. However, I would have liked explanatory information on site about the history. Unfortunately they were missing. But a worthwhile destination for a short visit.
