CAUTION !
I walked my dog on a leash through the gate at Böllener Eck (official hiking trail) and after 100 meters I was massively attacked by a herd of calves. One of the animals was particularly aggressive. One of the heifers (cow before first calving) grey, with horns curved inwards downwards. We lay motionless on the embankment for about a quarter of an hour before we managed to escape. Result: Dislocated hind leg on my standard poodle, bruised ribs and a multitude of bruises on me.
I had to carry my dog about 2.5 kilometers to the Hau car park.
Happened on 06/25/2021. Oberes Wiesental-Schönau police station notified to protect other hikers.
The police have informed the responsible Neuenweg pasture community.
Apparently the dirty beast is known. I don't understand why you can't protect the hikers from such an animal.
Addition: according to research, it is probably a "Zwicke" or "Freemartin". A kind of hermaphrodite.
