The Urnerboden is the largest alp in Switzerland. About 1000 head of cattle are here over the summer. Around 35 people live there all year round. Recommended overnight stay: In the evening and at night, nothing of the hustle and bustle of the day tourists can be felt or heard.

Mountain biking

Spectacular views of the Garner Alpen flanking the north side of the valley. The road is very straight and very exposed, check the weather forecast before you go, as you don't want to be bashing up the valley against a headwind!
