Name Ireland's tidiest town in 2023, Abbeyleix is a pleasant place to visit. To the south of the town is a marvellous community-led reserve, Killamuck (or Abbeyleix) Bog. Here, you'll find a boardwalks and earthy paths that explore a region of raised bog and wet woodland, making use of the course of a former railway line.
