Birdwatching Area Bislicher Insel

In the bird paradise of the old arm of the Rhine on the Bislicher Insel, there is a bird observation hut at the end of this path with information boards on the bird species that live there. The last section goes over very sandy soil and is therefore a bit difficult to drive on

As a rule, a lot of birds can be observed here. There are 3. Vogel observation huts that can only be reached on foot or by bike. (Bird protection area) With luck you can also see sea eagles, here in the nature reserve an eagle pair hunts.

The Bislicher island lies between Ginderich and Xanten in the circle Wesel and is one of the few remaining alluvial landscapes in Germany. Geographically, however, it is not an island. The total area is 12 km², of which 8.86 km² are designated as a nature reserve.
