The church is not only used for services, but also as a "Kaffee der Stille" (Coffee of Silence) daily from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, for exhibitions and many different concerts. The concerts are usually free. The prices for coffee, soft drinks, and cake are very moderate. The selection of cakes is very limited, but I have always enjoyed them so far.
For children, there are also occasional events such as puppet shows or children's concerts!

The Wilhelm Griesinger Hospital was a clinic complex that was built and opened at the end of the 19th century east of the Berlin city limits for the treatment of epilepsy patients. At first, the facility was run as an institution for epileptic Wuhlgarten near Biesdorf. The clinic was named after the neurologist Wilhelm Griesinger in 1968 and kept it until 1992.
