The Ranft has been a place of peace and quiet for centuries. Two beautiful chapels stand here on the slope of the valley that the Great Melchaa created. On a wooden bridge you cross the babbling mountain stream. The hermitage of Brother Klaus, who spent the last years of his life there to devote himself entirely to God, is attached to the Upper Ranft Chapel.
