The Loquarder church was built in the second half of the 13th century in the center of the Dorfwarft. Until the Reformation she belonged to the diocese of Münster. The original structure was shorter than the current building. At the end of the 15th century, a tower was added to the west, which served as a navigational mark in the subsequent period (Wikipedia).
