Trunk Brewery Old Monastery Brewery Vierzehnheiligen

The Trunk monastery brewery with its beautiful Bräustüberl and the beer garden directly above the basilica should definitely be included in a tour, whether on a hike or by bike. There is the well-known dark emergency drink and other emergency beers. In the cozy beer garden there are all kinds of snacks (with a pilgrimage church surcharge, of course), in summer it is packed.

The brewery right has existed since 1803. Since there was no successor in 1989, the brewery was sold to the Trunk family, who renovated it from the ground up and built the Bräustüberl, the hall and a beer garden.
The dark Nothelfer beer is simply great. There is also a beer and a lager. From Ash Wednesday to Easter there is also a Lastenbock and from Easter to September the Scheffeltrunk Kellerbier. There is also a harvest beer from September to October and a festival beer and a Silberbock during the Christmas season. However, it is difficult to get a seat in the beer garden, especially during the summer.
