This is the third bridge in a row from the mouth of the Ems. The first is the railway bridge about 1 km further west. The second bridge that can be seen is the Leda barrier. The barrier is located in the middle between the two.
In any case, the bridge was built primarily for motor traffic on the federal highway. But there are cycle paths on both sides, which makes crossing the river easy. The view of the Leda, which is very wide here, is fantastic.
