The Leo Piron Trail connects Nukerke with Zulzeke and runs along a so-called "hollow road." This was created by a natural erosion process: centuries of use of the same path, on foot or by horse and cart, loosened soil is loosened and washed away by rainwater. This causes the path to become increasingly deeper.
