The fountain system was built in 1921 and redesigned in 1999.
The fountain, the information stone including the seating set has been beautifully designed.
But even during our hike, the facility had no water, even though it had been relatively humid in the weeks before. I assume that this well will remain permanently waterless. As you can see from the individual pictures, this was not always the case.
