In the middle of the village, the Heimatverein Hauenhorst / Catenhorn e.V. has built a historic, typical Münsterland courtyard since 1988. First, the Berninghoff bakery was rebuilt on the site. This was followed by the Kötterhaus Storm, the Hüerhues Löckemann, the barn Oortmann and a remise from Hof Deupmann. All buildings in the neighboring Catenhorn farmers were demolished and rebuilt on the site on the village square. In the meantime, an apiary, a small coach house and an insect hotel have also been built.
