The tower mill, made of quarry stone masonry, was built in 1855 by master miller Friedrich Brandt from Warnstedt. For over 80 years, it served day after day, year after year, grinding the grain of the local farmers. Then, in 1941, mechanization and electrification had advanced to such an extent that the mill was discontinued. Until then, the Schröder family had operated the mill.
