Villa Mullberget is a large villa in national romantic style which was originally built in 1889 as a summer residence (“Lilla Manilla”) in Swiss-style according to drawings by architect E. Lundroth. A major modernization took place in 1909 when the house's facades and roof were covered with dark brown chips. The work was planned by the later city hall architect Ragnar Östberg for the family of city counselor Larsson who lived in the villa for almost 70 years. After the death of the Larssons, the property was acquired by the bank manager Rune Barnéus and his wife Birgitta in 1981.
