In Töpchin rare limestones in the nature reserve "Töpchiner Seen" can be explored on an area of about 375 hectares. Numerous species of the habitat type "Kalkreiche Niedermoore" are still present here. Thus, in addition to a whole range of peat mosses, there is also an endangered flora and fauna, e.g. rare brown moss. Also in the course of the landscape development today's silting bogs have been created.
These silting bogs are characterized by an up to 3 m thick peat and Muddenlage. If you want to walk here, you should not leave the paths. There is always the danger of "sinking in".
